Baked Basil Fries

You can use regular potatoes, but red is better. If the recipe is doubled, it takes about an hour to bake.


  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1/4 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 4 medium red potatoes


  1. In a bowl combine parmesan cheese, oil, basil, and garlic powder.
  2. Cut potatoes into 1/4 inch sticks. Add to cheese mixture; toss to coat.
  3. Place in 15" by 10" baking pan coated with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes; turn potatoes. Bake 15-20 minutes longer or until crisp and tender.
