Popcorn Balls


  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 cup (light) white corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • food coloring, red or green
  • 8 cups popped corn


  1. Boil sugar, margarine, corn syrup, salt, and food coloring 2 minutes, stirring consistently.
  2. Place popped corn in large bowl, pour hot cooked mixture over corn stirring well to coat.
  3. Shape into balls (dip hands in cold water for easier shaping).
