Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

Wet ingredients

  • 2 cups crisco shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla

Dry ingredients

  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 ounces package chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (optional) nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix together the wet ingredients.
  2. Add flour and baking soda and mix well.
  3. Add chips and nuts.
  4. Drop from teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees till lightly browned—do not over bake.
