Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 32 ounces (3 1/2 cups) spaghetti sauce
- 3/4 cup water
- 8 ounces (uncooked) lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 3 cups (12 oz.) mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Brown beef with the onions, drain, and stir in spaghetti sauce and water.
- Mix together mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese, parsley, and 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese.
- Spread small amount of spaghetti sauce mixture in 9” by 13” pan (just barely cover bottom of pan).
- Top with half of the noodles, then 1/3 sauce, 1/2 cheese mixture.
- Make one more layer, noodles, sauce, cheese, and top with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan on top.
- Bake covered with foil for 1 hour.
- Let set for a few minutes before cutting.
