El Dorado Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 8oz. cans Spanish tomato sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped ripe onions
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 small can chopped green chiles
  • 1 7oz. pkg. tortilla chips
  • 1/2 pound grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown beef and drain off fat.
  2. Add onion, garlic salt, tomato sauce, and olives.
  3. Crush chips a little and put 1/2 of the chips in greased 9” by 13” pan.
  4. Spoon meat mixture over chips, then spread sour cream, then cottage cheese, then chiles.
  5. Spread grated cheese over top.
  6. Top with rest of the chips.
  7. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
