Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1 - 29 oz. can sliced peaches, drained or 5 or 6 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced.
  • 5 slices white sandwich bread, crusts trimmed off
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cube melted margarine
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Sprinkle of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Place peaches in 8” by 11” pan.
  2. Cut each slice of white bread into 5 strips and place evenly on top of peaches.
  3. Beat egg and mix together with sugars, flour, and margarine.
  4. Pour over bread strips.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg on top.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
