Spaghetti Pie
I usually double the recipe and use a 9" by 13" pan and a 8" by 8" inch pan. That way I can freeze one for later use.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces long spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 pound ground beef
- 15 ounces jar of spaghetti sauce
- 4 ounces grated mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Break spaghetti into 2 inch pieces, cook until tender, drain.
- In large bowl, mix drained spaghetti with butter, parmesan cheese, egg, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Place spaghetti mixture in an 8" by 11" pan or large pie plate.
- Mix together cottage cheese and sour cream. Spread over spaghetti.
- Brown ground beef and drain off fat. Mix in the jar of spaghetti sauce. Spread over cheese mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 35-40 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Return to oven until cheese melts.
- Let set for about 10 minutes before cutting.
